Feast in a Garden: Northfield House - rescheduled

Thursday, 20 June 2019 18:30 – 21:00
Category: Diggers and Dibblers

Event re-scheduled due forecast rain on 11 June - Note new date

Please join us for this lovely and inspiring informal and friendly garden visit and delicious bring and share meal, kindly hosted this year by Ann and Norman.  The garden has various areas and lovely views, with plenty of seating spots  to sit and enjoy it. There's a long grassy walk looking across the fields to Cheney's lane  and  a  new wildlife pond which was this year's project,  an adjacent spinney planted to mark the millennium, a cottage garden and small orchard, large flower beds, a kitchen garden, fruit cage and chicken run. We have a large lawn which should suit our evening well, all we need is good weather! We’ll be hoping for a balmy summer evening, good conversation and a sumptuous picnic feast.  Pimms will be served.

What to bring: Please bring a plate of food to share (labeled please) and drink of your choice, plus plates, glasses & cutlery. There will be some chairs, but please bring your own or a rug to be sure of a comfy seat.

Parking: Farming neighbour Mark Chapman has very generously agreed to allow us use of the hard standing in front of his green barns higher up the lane, about 3-4 min walk away. Note – parking is at your own risk.
Please car-share where possible & do not park on the narrow lane, thank you.
Disabled parking: please contact Norman & Ann (01953 789841)
