The John Innes Centre in Norwich, is known to many of us through the names of its compost compositions. As an independent, international centre of excellence in plant science and microbiology, it is a world leader and the Germplasm Resources Unit – a major Seed bank especially for food plants – is an important aspect of its work. Mike will tell us about the role and value of the seed bank in maintaining biodiversity.

Members pay £1 for a raffle ticket (and tea/coffee and biscuits). Non-members welcome (£3 per meeting).
